Why not just buy one online?

You can, and plenty do. Here’s what you get from a local build instead.

  • Set up in your home

We don’t hand you a box. The machine is delivered, plugged in, updated, and your games, launchers and accounts are signed in before we leave.

  • No bloatware, ever

A clean Windows install with the drivers that belong on your hardware. No trial antivirus, no shovelware, no pop-ups asking you to subscribe.

  • Tested before it ships

Every build is stress-tested and temperature-checked under load. If a part is going to fail early, we’d rather it failed on our bench than in your house.

  • Parts you can see

You get the full spec list before you pay, with the exact make and model of every component. No vague “8GB graphics” descriptions.

  • Built to upgrade

We leave headroom in the power supply and case so you can add a better graphics card or more storage in two years without starting again.

  • We’re local

Something not right six months in? Call us in Kilbirnie and we’ll come out. Try that with an online builder.

How a build works

  1. Tell us what you play

The games, the resolution and refresh rate you’re aiming for, and roughly what you want to spend. If you’re not sure, we’ll ask the right questions.

  2. We spec it and quote

You get a full written parts list and a fixed price. Change your mind on anything and we’ll re-spec it. Nothing is ordered until you’re happy.

  3. Built, tested, delivered

We build it, install and update Windows, stress-test it, then bring it to you and set it up on your desk.

Already have a gaming PC?

You don’t need a new machine to fix bad frame rates. Most of what we see is fixable, and usually for far less than a replacement.

Gaming PC questions

The things people ask before ordering a build.

How much should I spend on a gaming PC?

It depends entirely on what you play and at what resolution. Competitive shooters at 1080p need far less machine than 4K single-player games with ray tracing. Tell us your games and your budget and we'll be straight with you about what it buys, including when spending a bit more makes a real difference and when it doesn't.

Can I give you my own parts list?

[Answer this one. If you will build from a customer parts list, say so and whether you charge a labour-only rate. If you prefer to spec it yourself so you can stand behind the warranty, say that instead.]

How long does a build take?

Usually [X working days] from the point you approve the quote, depending on parts availability. If something is on back order we'll tell you before you commit rather than leaving you waiting.

What warranty do I get?

Every component carries its own manufacturer warranty, typically two to three years on most parts and longer on some power supplies. Our build labour is covered for [X] days, and because we're in Kilbirnie we handle warranty claims for you rather than leaving you to post parts back yourself.

Do you move my files over from my old PC?

Yes, that's part of the setup. Your documents, photos, game saves where they're stored locally, and your browser bookmarks all come across. We'd still recommend you have your own backup of anything irreplaceable beforehand.

Can you build a quiet PC?

Yes, and it's worth asking for. Case choice, fan selection and a sensible cooler make a far bigger difference to noise than most people expect. If the machine is going in a bedroom or living room, tell us and we'll spec accordingly.

Do you do RGB and custom water cooling?

[Say whether you do custom loops, or stick to air and AIO coolers. Both are legitimate answers, but people ask.] Lighting is easy either way, and we can keep it subtle or go all out.

Can you upgrade a prebuilt PC I bought elsewhere?

Usually, yes. Some big-brand prebuilts use non-standard motherboards, power supplies or cases which limit what can be fitted. Send us the model and we'll tell you what's realistic before you order anything.

Do you build PCs for work rather than games?

Yes. Video editing, CAD, 3D rendering and photography machines need a different balance of parts from a gaming build, usually more memory and cores and less emphasis on the graphics card. Tell us the software you use and we'll spec for it.
