    Usually a day for a home. We move your devices across, check every room and show you the app before we leave.

Will this fix the dead spot in my back bedroom?

That is exactly what it is for. A survey tells us whether one extra access point solves it or whether the layout needs two. Thick stone walls, extensions and loft conversions are the usual culprits, and they are all fixable.

Do you have to run cables through my house?

Wherever we can, yes, because a wired access point is far better than a wireless one. We route cables through lofts, cupboards and existing runs, and keep them out of sight. If cabling really is not practical, UniFi can link access points wirelessly instead.

Is this better than a mesh kit from Currys?

For a small flat, a mesh kit is often fine. For a house with thick walls, a business, or anywhere with a lot of devices, UniFi is a different class: stronger hardware, proper roaming between access points, and settings you can actually tune.

Can I keep my existing broadband and router?

Yes. We work with BT, Sky, Virgin, EE and the rest. In most installs your provider's router keeps doing the broadband and UniFi takes over the WiFi, which is where the trouble usually is.

Can you get WiFi to a garage, outbuilding or garden?

Usually. Outdoor access points and buried or clipped cabling cover garages, workshops, static caravans, stables and yards. Tell us the distance and what is between the two buildings and we will tell you what is realistic.

Do you do business installs?

Yes. Offices, shops, cafes, holiday lets and farms. We can set up a guest network with its own password, keep card machines and cameras on their own network, and add VoIP phones on the same system.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. You own the equipment outright and the UniFi app is free. The only ongoing cost is your normal broadband bill.

What if something goes wrong later?

Call us. We can often look at your network remotely and fix it without a visit. If it needs a callout, we are in Kilbirnie, not a call centre. Everything we supply carries its manufacturer warranty, and our labour is covered for [X] days.
